Arisu
My name is Arisu Kobayashi from Japan. I came to summer camp in 2013 and I decided to study in Canada in April 2014. I started my high school year in 2014, and I am graduating from THS in 2017.
I really enjoyed spending my high school life at the THS. I studied in the ESL program for about a year, and I think it helped me understand English more. I loved getting to know people from different countries, different languages and cultures. I also loved being in a small school because I was able to ask teachers questions anytime. As well as all the teachers, the principal and my friends were caring which made me feel comfortable being at the high school. I really loved going on the field trip to Whistler to ski. I think it is great that the high school is on the University so it is easier for me if I am going to go to VIU because I already know where everything is.
This school and the environment has made me learn to love new things.
