April was born and raised in Nanaimo, BC but also briefly lived in Haida Gwaii and also Calgary. She started working at VIU in 2006 in a variety of financial related roles and joined The High School at VIU in 2021. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, baking, hiking, camping, kayaking, travelling, and exploring new places!
